To ensure safe and proper usage, please read and follow the guidelines below. By purchasing and using our candles, you agree to the terms outlined in this disclaimer.

Proper Candle Usage:

​

Wood Wicks: Light from the base and gently turn the candle. If you light from the top it will burn the wick down rendering it useless. 

 

Supervised Use Only: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish the candle when leaving a room or going to sleep.

​

Keep Away from Flammable Objects: Ensure candles are placed at least 12 inches away from anything that can catch fire (e.g., curtains, decorations).

​

Use a Stable Surface: Place candles on a heat-resistant, level surface. Ensure the candle is secure and cannot tip over.

​

Avoid Drafts: Keep candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans, and air currents to prevent uneven burning and dripping.

​

Trim the Wick: Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4 inch to avoid excessive flame height and smoking.

​

Burn Time: Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the candle to cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.

​

Extinguishing the Flame: Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. Do not use water, as it can cause hot wax to splatter and may break a glass container.

​

Container Safety: If using a container candle, discontinue use when 1/2 inch of wax remains. This prevents potential overheating of the container.

Keep Away from Children and Pets: Ensure candles are kept out of reach of children and pets.

​

Our Christmas Tree pillar candles are decorative and scented delicately - if you do decide to burn them, they have a short burn time.

*All of our candles are hand crafted and hand poured - each candle is unique and while we do our best to limit them, there will be imperfections and color variations of the wax including but not limited to: frosting, pulling, wax coloring due to fragrance oil, and/or small bumps/depressions.*

This includes, but is not limited to, fire, smoke, soot damage, or burns.
 

At Candle By The Sea, we take pride in the quality of our handcrafted candles and soap products. However, we are not responsible for any allergic reactions that may occur from the use of our products. Please carefully read the ingredient list provided for each product, as individual sensitivities to certain ingredients may vary. If you have a known allergy, we strongly recommend reviewing the product ingredients before making a purchase.

Customers use our candles at their own risk. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the safe usage of the candles by following the safety guidelines provided. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in accidents or injuries for which Candle By The Sea cannot be held liable. By using our candles, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Candle By The Sea from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the use or misuse of our products.
